Tanabata - Two Seatings 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm

Tanabata, or the Star Festival, is observed in Japan annually on the seventh day of the seventh month, and its origins go back to the Chin -  T'ang dynasties in China.  We will share usucha and sweets in a light-hearted celebration of the one night each year when the weaver Vega is allowed to cross the Milky Way to join her beloved husband Altair.  Come take part in this special event, and learn about the symbolism of Tanabata while enjoying usucha in the cool twilight.

Location: The von Briesen's Tea Room, 208 Sereno Dr., Santa Fe, NM 87501
